Let’s break this down, especially in this current time. What does it mean to have peace, independence, and generosity?

1. Peace

• Become debt free
• Have a fully funded emergency fund (3-6 months of income) approximately $10,000-$20,000 dollars
• Live on a budget – not being restrictive but telling your money where you want it to go. If you need a budgeting tool we recommend YNAB.

2. Independence 
During the accumulation and wealth building phase we recommend Dave Ramsey’s 7 baby steps until you need a more complex plan such as a comprehensive retirement plan.

3. Generosity
Truett Cathy of Chick-fil-A wrote a book called “Wealth, is it worth it?”  His answer in the book was, “Yes, if you can give it away!” This is a great time to be generous. Find ways you can extend kindness to your friends, family, neighbors, health care workers, delivery drivers, local businesses, etc…

King Solomon declared, “The generous will prosper. Those who refresh others will be refreshed.” Proverbs 11:25
